About Me

I’m a musician, a writer, and an armchair ethnomusicologist.

I grew up in the South, in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, and now I live and work in Birmingham, Alabama. I read a lot and write a lot. If I had my druthers, I’d either be an eternal student or a perpetual traveler.

  1. I’ve heard from a traveling salesbird that wandering folk provoke when the knock on distant palace doors where the occupants are from another world. Folks made to wander often refuse to take the Myers-Briggs test when they have reached the peak of a mountain carrying a powered donut in their backpack that looks like a confectionery dusted in snow and fairy dust.

  2. Ahh, the mighty Myers Briggs. Something every company I knew was using in the eighties. A lot of fun, but definitely stereotyping. I think I was INTP but can’t remember what that meant…..Thanks for the insight and memory.
