Just like everyone who’s seen it, I love the BBC series Sherlock. It’s amazing. It’s fantastic. Just like Sherlock’s deduction skills.
I realize it’s popular to extrapolate a romantic relationship between Sherlock and John in the show. Since they love each other, they must be in love, right?
People who think that real love between unrelated people can only be present in romantic relationships have clearly never had a best friend. Or a really good friend. A true friend.
Romanticizing every relationship undermines real love. So, thank you, BBC, for squashing SherJohn or Holmson or whatever you want to call it, for not going Hollywood, and above all for not undermining true friendship.
